Having a long-term visa or residence permit is much more secure than having to rely on a tourist visa or visa-free arrangement. The Bulgarian digital nomad visa
The Bulgarian digital nomad visa was first introduced in the Bulgarian Foreigners Law on 27.06.2025. The law stipulates three types of digital nomads and defines what the conditions are to obtain a digital nomad visa. Bearing in mind that Bulgaria is full member of the Schengen area, the digital nomads in the country enjoy visa-free travel to all other Schengen member states.
